South Park musical?

A lot of rumors have been going around that South Park creators Matt Stone and Trey Parker are creating an off-Broadway musical. Those rumors are true, but I've also heard that it will be a South Park musical (they already did that with the South Park movie, South Park: Bigger, Longer, and Uncut). That is utterly false. The musical is called Cannibal! The Musical and it is based off of a musical they made in college. It has nothing to do with South Park. I felt obligated to clarify that.

Animal - Ke$ha review

overall, this is a great party album, but I prefer more emotional albums. But this album is still good and fun. I didn't like, though, that she is compared to Avril Lavigne or Kelly Clarkson. I think her sound isn't that unique, but I can't really compare it to anyone. especially Avril Lavigne.

Your Love Is My Drug - Good song; a good amount of emotion and fun.

Tik Tok - Catchy and fun but I can tell I will get tired of it pretty soon if I keep hearing it on the radio.

Take It Off - Fun party song.

Kiss 'N Tell - Great! Emotional and fun!

Stephen - Emotional, but not quite as catchy as other tracks.

Blah Blah Blah - Fun and catchy, but don't really like the lyrics as much.

Hungover - Didn't really like this track, and it got bad reviews.

Party At A Rich Dude's House - Totally fun, catchy party song!

Backstabber - Emotional song, but not very catchy and slightly annoying.

Blind - Perhaps my favorite song on the album; catchy and deep.

Dinosaur - Stupid. End of story.

Dancing With Tears In My Eyes - Not bad, but it seems like her record company said "You need to write a slow, emotional song" and she tried to combine a hot dance track and a slow song.

Boots & Boys - I hate songs about shopping; no matter how singers try to write it, it makes them sound like a spoiled whore.

Animal - Not bad; emotional and dancey, but doesn't seem like she was forced to do it.

Bonus Track

V.I.P. - Ick, not too great.

South Park: 13th Season Review

The episodes in season 13 were either amazingly groundbreaking ("The Ring", "Fishsticks", "Pee") or were painful to watch ("The Coon", "Eat, Prey, Queef", "Dances With Smurfs"). But while many say South Park is losing it's touch, I disagree. Season 11 wasn't that great, but they followed up with an amazing 12th season; the only episode I didn't like was "Canada on Strike", and even then I didn't think it was too bad! I think they can follow up with a groundbreaking 14th season!

Simpsons episode review

The new episodes are drastically losing humor, but that's what happens to TV shows after they've been on several years. After I saw "Once Upon A Time In Springfield", I finally decided to say something about it. I found the plot line and jokes predictable, the story perverted (Krusty's like 60 or something and he falls in love with a 20-year-old) and the celebrity parodies confusing (if I don't know who someone is when I see a celebrity parody on The Simpsons, it isn't funny to me). The story also sounded very recycled -- I know I've seen the same story before...

The last new episode I watched before this one was "O Brother, Where Bart Thou?" and I only watched it because there was a South Park parody. (Also, on South Park, when they parody a celebrity and I have no idea who they are, it's still funny.) I thought this one was OK; it was funny, seemed original, but the celebrity parody thing totally pissed me off -- there was a scene with several celebrity impersonations and I didn't understand one of them.

And I will admit, I didn't see the entire episode ("Once Upon A Time In Springfield"); it was so bad, I shut it off halfway through.

Avril Lavigne's album delayed

Due to the divorce between Avril Lavigne and Dereck Wibley, her album has been delayed even more, now until mid 2010. She only has a few tracks on the album to finish, but she can't work with Dereck anymore, delaying the album by a few months. But on the plus side, she sings the lead single for the upcoming movie Alice in Wonderland entitled "Alice Underground". The single is due out in March.
