Lily Allen Records?

Lily Allen is in the works of creating a record label.

A few weeks ago, she announced she wouldn't record any new music for awhile. Now she says she wants "a bit of a break".

"I like to help other bands of I'm thinking about setting up my own label," she said. "I'm not retiring from music. I might retire from singing for a bit."

Nick Jonas solo project

Rumors have been poping up about Nick Jonas making a solo album. The rumors were confirmed my Denise Jonas, the boy's mom. "Nick is working on a solo act," she said. "Shhh! He's at the photo shoot for the album cover right now!" Romurs of a solo tour are circulating. The Jonas Boys confirmed that they are not breaking up due to the project.

Also in Jonas news, Kevin has set a wedding date and chose both Nick and Joe as his best men. He chose to keep his wedding date private.

Sorry, no links this time, Google Blogs is acting weird and isn't letting me copy & paste, but I got my info from http://www.mtv.com/

This Is It

Michael Jackson's new album came out on iTunes today, and I was shocked it was not a chart-topper. But then I realized why: most of the songs on the album were the same as on previous albums, and the most talked-about song in the past month, "This Is It", is an album-only track. I, personally, think "This Is It" is a great song. I wish I could buy it without buying all this other stuff I already have. I was expecting this to be a live album. Most have the words "remastered" or "single version" after them to make them sound different, but don't believe them; they're really the same! Also, the "orchestra version" of "This Is It" is pretty much teh same. I was expecting more for my money (although I never actually bought it).

Miley says goodbye to Twitter?!?!?

Miley, following a boyfriend's advice, deleted her Twitter accout. She later posted a video on YouTube saying she made her own decisions in deteting her Twitter, but if you follow her, you know she Tweeted saying her boyfriend Liam suggested she delete it. She claims she deleted it for privacy reasons, but it's not like deteing her Twitter will make her life any more private. I believe she is being inconsiderate to her fans. Her fans loved getting frequent updates about their favorite rocker-wannabe, and she got rid of that. She put herself before her fans -- again. There was another YouTube video (taped by a paprazzo) of her ignoring her fans wanting autographs while she went to talk with the paparazzi. And people still think she's sweet and down-to-earth?

Read Between The Lines: My Review

I hate the sound of this album; it's too pop-ish. As much as I didn't like it, there was a weird edge to them and a certain spunk they've got that I've never seen before. I feel like I'm supposed to think it's too overproduced, unoriginal; the album was basically made for them. Yet there's something about them that doesn't drive me away right away. I'm not sure what it is, but maybe I'll never know. I feel obligated to hate them like I do every other Disney group. But this one is somehow different. I know I normally give a track-by-track review, but today I felt like mixing it up...

Overall album grade: 3.75/5

Allison Iraheta's new album + single

Allison Iraheta just finished her Idol Tour announced an album (with a December 1st release date) and a new single called "Friday I'll Be Over U" released to radio stations today. She says it isn't too hard to understand and has a rock vibe. Fans can expect some ballads and dance tracks also. She also really wants to work with P!nk because she looks up to her.

"Friday I'll Be Over U" was written by Max Martin.

Paramore reveals they went to therapy

Paramore revealed that Hayley Williams and Jash Farro fought so much back in 2008, they went to group therapy so they could stay together. They say they couldn't have done the album without it. She also says she and Josh have "a quirky relationship" and they "butt heads the most". I can understand fighting; they're in a band. They're together 24/7; fighting is expected but not always expected to be resolved. I'm glad Paramore was able to resolve their problems and put their difrences aside. They aslo said they didn't want to let the fans down so they worked extra hard to resolve any issues.
